Snack Policy

Dear Parents and Guardians,

The snack policy asks for you to provide your child with a healthy snack each day. Classroom snacks MUST BE PEANUT & TREE NUT FREE and clearly labeled. Snacks brought in for holiday celebrations as well as daily classroom snacks MUST follow these guidelines. NO HOMEMADE SNACKS are allowed for any celebrations.

We also ask that you DO NOT SEND FOOD IN FOR BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS. You may send in a goodie bag for each child, without food in it, come to school and be a guest reader for your child or send in a birthday pencil, notepad or small alternative item.

All class party snacks must be prepackaged and must be checked by the nurse prior to being brought to the classroom for celebrations. We are asking the parents of the allergic child to provide safe pre-packaged snacks for their child and these snacks can be kept in the nurse’s office to be used for class celebrations.

This way of handling classroom celebrations will minimize any risk of our allergy children having any serious health issues while participating in celebrations at school. If you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to contact the school.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
